Whilst scrounging the other night looking for Comet wheel replacements I happened across a old Hasegawa M5 High Speed Tractor.
It was broken in six or seven pieces, but nothing terminal. The only thing really missing were the canopy support struts.
I fashioned some out of some plastic sprue to more or less the right size. Probably a little too tall really.
From there I simply repainted it to a generic allied scheme, and added a cam net. The Brits only used a handful of these, if actually any overseas, but in the US forces they were pretty widespread.
Some light weathering to finish.
All in all, I think I invested about a hour and a half into it, which is what I should have done ten years ago when I picked it up.
Model on!
